Living Water Plumbing is based in Chattanooga and works across Hamilton County, from the old neighborhoods inside the river bend to the ridges, the lake and the valleys beyond.
Each part of the county has its own plumbing. Knowing whether a street was built in 1910 or 2010, whether it is on city sewer or septic, and how steep the lot is tells a plumber a great deal before the truck is even parked.

Good to know
Who supplies your water, and where it goes.
Water
Most of Chattanooga is supplied by Tennessee American Water from the Tennessee River, and its water is moderately hard. Parts of the county are on separate utility districts, such as Hixson and Eastside, and many properties on the ridges and farther out have private wells. Your bill tells you which.
Sewer
The City of Chattanooga runs the sewers inside the city. Much of the rest of Hamilton County is served by the county’s Water and Wastewater Treatment Authority (WWTA). The line from your house to the connection is generally yours to maintain.
Septic
Outside the sewered areas, wastewater goes to a septic tank and drain field on the property. Steep lots and shallow rock mean some homes also rely on a pump to move it uphill.
